Black Hills Nationals is a wrestling tournament held annually in the beautiful Spearfish South Dakota, home of the Black Hills State University, and the dynamic Spearfish Canyon.
This iconic Midwestern tournament converges hundreds of wrestling fans and followers from over 17 states nationwide. This event reaches out to competitors of all ages from 6 and under, to an Adult Masters Division for ages 30 and over. Simply, Black Hills Nationals creates an environment for all who strive to strengthen and support the art of wrestling.
Frank A. Pavich, a long time wrestling enthusiast and Black Hills Native, is the director and producer of this event. Frank proved his love and dedication, to the sport of wrestling and his hometown, and brought them together, creating what is now the 15th Annual Black Hills Nationals Wrestling Tournament.
Frank’s mission was to create an event that not only welcomed healthy competition from accomplished masters, but one that also contributed courage and confidence to its attending youth. Over 650 competitors entered this event last year, Frank anticipates the numbers to be just as surprising for this coming year.
If you have the desire to witness something great, this is where you belong!
